Description Acacia acuminata is a shrub/tree 3-10 metres tall. The narrow phyllode variety is common in the northern, central and eastern wheatbelt and extending slightly into the adjacent Arid Zone, ranging from near Morawa to Balladonia; outlier populations near Ravensthorpe (WorldWideWattle). The common name refers to the smell of freshly cut wood. The phyllodes contain a number of tryptamines, notably dimethyltryptamine, similar to Acacia obtusifolia or Acacia courtii and is a great substitute in the garden. Plant 5mm under the surface of a well drained seed raising mix in full sun. Keep moist until germination. Prefers a well drained soil, fast growing and hardy.
